Bangkok Brunch Guide: Where to Eat This Weekend
Last updated March 16, 2025
Brunch o'clock is always a good idea! What better way to start a weekend than with oozy eggs and a nice cup of coffee to kick-start the fun? Bangkok offers a wide variety of local food, but sometimes all a girl needs is simply avocado toast.
Brunch used to be something new in Bangkok, but in recent years, many brunch spots have popped up around the city, and we Bangkokians have really embraced the brunch culture to enjoy slow mornings. In its early days, Roast was, and still is, a strong contender in the Bangkok brunch scene, and it remains one of my favorites. Roast is definitely one of the pioneer.
But today, I want to take you on a tour of my current favorite brunch spots. Think of this list as a recommendation from a friend who loves to wake up early on the weekend to make the most of her time. I intend to expand this list (there are still so many to explore!). In the meantime, I hope this blog is a useful guide and you find a few spots that you love to try next time.

Bangkok Brunch Guide --
1. Kasnäsbkk
Kasnäsbkk is my most recent discovery. This popular brunch spot truly deserves the recognition because the food is delicious and beautifully presented. And yes, the coffee is top-notch. And in case you don't know, this brunch spot features Nordic-inspired cuisine. So, you can expect to see fresh, seasonal ingredients and Scandinavian flavors, and find dishes like smoked salmon with dill, rye bread, and gravlax.
When it comes to what to order, I love how they design their breakfast board. First, you will be given a paper to choose how many food items you want. They have two sets: 5 or 7. Each set consists of one choice of egg, bread & pastry, vegetarian, meat & fish, and sweet & dairy. My friend and I went with a set of 7 items, and we were blown away by how the food arrived. The little plates of individual items are so cute. I would say try their signature "Larder" sourdough, home-cured salmon "Gravlax" with dill sauce, cream cheese mentako with condiments, and seasonal crumble cake with cold custard as dessert for your breakfast board set.
For the veggie option, order an extra portion of their à la carte menu "green salad" to balance the flavors. Their green salad is super refreshing, the vegetables are crisp, and it's so far one of the best salads I've ever had. Also, if you are a fan of Nduja, you'll love a dish called straciatella with spicy sausage and sourdough. This is for spicy food lovers. It's literally like eating pizza in the morning. And last but not least, if you love carbs and want to try all types of pastry there, you can order a bread basket to satisfy your carb cravings. The set comes with delicious jam and butter which go perfectly well with the brioche and croissant.
Another thing that makes this place charming is the decoration. Kasnäsbkk has a contemporary and minimalist design, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I went there during Christmas, and I must say the place is truly "Instagrammable." Overall, this is a great spot with high-quality food and drink, and a nice ambiance. Plus, this place is spacious, so even if you go on a weekend, you won't feel too crowded, making it the perfect spot for a nice relaxing weekend.
2. Luka Cafe
Opened in 2016, Luka Cafe is an OG when it comes to the brunch scene in Bangkok. Back then, there were not that many brunch spots in this city of angles. This hip and bohemian-vibe cafe is well-known among people who stay in the Sathorn area. They offer a diverse menu with breakfast, brunch, and lunch options, featuring both Western and Asian-inspired dishes.
My first love for Luka Cafe started from having a breakfast burrito here. Its Breakfast Burrito consists of flour tortilla, 2 organic eggs, cheese, Sloane's sausage, capsicum, organic black quinoa, avocado, sour cream, and grilled corn salsa served with special Luka spicy sauces. This great kick of spice hit me. Imagine having this with a cup of really nice hot latte. I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast combo. Another great recommendation when coming to Luka is Fried Chicken Burger, served on the side with sweet potato chips. So, come here if you expect creative menus like the Gangnam-Style Chicken & Waffle and surprisingly addictive healthy bowls. You can also add a nice glass of cold-pressed juice to go with your breakfast as well if coffee isn’t your thing.
Luka Cafe has two locations, but the most well-known is the original location on Pan Road, Sathorn. Most people like to sit outside to enjoy the ambiance. But inside is equally nice, as it has a small section selling home decor items. Luka tends to get busy on the weekend, so if possible, make a reservation in advance. Trust me, you’ll like this spot!
3. Toby’s Bangkok
Toby's Estate is a well-regarded Australian coffee roaster known for its high-quality coffee beans and great brunch options. This stylish brunch spot is well-loved by brunch lovers in Bangkok because of its comfortable, chill, and inviting vibe and excellent food. Thanks to my best friend for the introduction; I was hooked from the first time.
If you don't know what to order, I highly recommend getting a breakfast board and enjoying the variety of yummy things on your plate. This classic choice is super satisfying. But if you want something cheesier and oozier, opt for the baked egg. And for fans of avocado, the smashed avocado on sourdough is also to die for. If shrimp is your kind of morning protein, try the prawn toast for a unique taste. The drinks and desserts at Toby’s are always good, too, and since it’s Australian, trust me, two cups of coffee at Toby’s won’t be too much caffeine because the coffee is just that good.
Toby’s Bangkok currently has three locations; Noble Play, Sukhumvit 38 and Lazy Toby Villa Mkt Nanglinchee.
4. Not Just Another Cup
Not Just Another Cup is known for its healthy and delicious food as it focuses on serving healthy and nutritious dishes, including fresh salads, superfood bowls, and wholesome breakfast options. This lovely spot is located in a bustling area called Sathorn. On the weekdays, Sathorn is a busy area because it is a Central Business District of Bangkok but Sathorn transforms into a more relaxing neighborhood on the weekend.
Not Just Another Cup is beloved by both Sathorn residents and many visitors. There are many great food choices to choose from. From oozy Moroccan Eggs packed with chickpeas, house made tomato sauce, and a perfect blend of cumin and coriander to Mexican Breakfast style featuring crispy grilled cheese tortillas with creamy guacamole, possibilities are endless. If you are a fan of quinoa, don't forget to try the Breakfast Burrito Bowl. This dish is my go-to and it is simply delicious! It boasts a delightful blend of flavors and textures, featuring chorizo sausage with perfectly scrambled eggs, gooey cheddar cheese, fresh kale, creamy avocado, quinoa, and more, making it a guilt-free yet incredibly satisfying meal.
Speaking of guilt-free, the coffee here is also great. But, if you're craving a super refreshing morning, get yourself a nice glass of cold-pressed juice and kick start your day with Vitamin C.
5. Cüm Speciality Coffee
Umm, "CUM" does sound interesting. I’m sure this is the first thought many people have! But let me tell you, going to Cüm for brunch is definitely a pleasant surprise you need on a weekend. Cüm is a nice, relaxing brunch spot where you can hang out all day and enjoy the variety of food, either indoors or outdoors. And good news for pet moms and dads, it's a pet-friendly spot.
The owner has clarified that the name is stylized as "Cüm" and is intended to be pronounced "coohm." Cüm Coffee is located in The Office Thonglor, a community space in the trendy Thonglor area. This high-quality specialty coffee attracts many affluent locals and foreigners. I would recommend getting different things to share with friends, like the croissant with egg Benedict and smoked salmon. For its signature drink, try the biscuit cream latte to satisfy your coffee and sweet tooth combo. I must say it's not too sweet, so I quite enjoyed it. But if coffee isn’t your thing, they also have a juice menu with lots of options to choose from. And for some reason, my friend and I were craving pasta that day, so we ordered the duck pappardella, and it was so yummy, so I would recommend it.
Overall, Cüm Specialty Coffee has tasty food and drink options, and most importantly, it's a super chill spot. So don’t forget to check it out.
6. Flour Shoppe
If you love American food and have been searching for awesome American biscuits in Bangkok, look no further because Flour Shoppe has the best biscuits in town! I'm not exaggerating when I say this. The food that made me fall in love with Flour Shoppe is their biscuits and the yummy strawberry jam. The biscuit has the right amount of butteriness, and the texture is moist yet crumbly enough. The jam is a little sweet and sour. Imagine having this with a cup of hot coffee? Heaven in your mouth.
Once you fall in love with the sweet options, it's good to try the savory food options that Flour Shoppe has too. My personal favorites are breakfast burrito, which has sage sausage and scrambled eggs. But if you want something crispy, try the ultimate guilty pleasure: fried chicken and biscuits. Trust me, this dish is definitely worth the calories. But if you want something healthier, try the cobb salad for your light brunch option.
Another reason that makes Flour Shoppe a great brunch is its super convenient location. It is located inside Central Chidlom, so you can go shopping after a full meal to walk off your yummy meal.
7. Sarnies Bangkok
When Sarnies first opened in Bangkok, it quickly gained popularity because of its great food and coffee, as well as its unique setting. Nestled within a renovated old house in the iconic and trendy Charoen Krung area, Sarnies retains the original exterior, preserving its 150-year-old charm. This former abandoned boat repair shop, with its meticulously maintained structure, offers a unique vintage yet cool coffee shop experience unlike any other in Bangkok.
Sarnies, the first overseas branch outside of Singapore, made its debut in Thailand in 2018. They focus on quality by using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and roasting their coffee weekly for the best quality. If you're a fan of Australian brunch style, this is the place for you. But, what truly sets Sarnies apart is the hint of Thai influence infused into some of their dishes like Tom yum eggs Benedict.
So, what to order at Sarnies? First thing first, the coffee! Enjoy a classic hot latte or explore exciting flavors like the signature iced coconut long black or black coffee with pineapple juice. The possibilities are endless here. For food, you can opt for the classic bacon and omelet with toast. Personally, I highly recommend their bagels, especially the Smoked Salmon Bagel – an absolute must-try. Sarnies is renowned for its bagels, and finding good bagels in Bangkok can be challenging, making this a worthwhile experience. But if you're craving a brunch sandwich and a beef lover, don't miss the ox tongue sandwich – you won't be disappointed. After brunch, you can further explore Charoen Krung area, making a visit even more worthwhile.
8. Sarnies Sourdough
So, why choose Sarnies Sourdough when Sarnies Bangkok is already on the list? This location offers a distinct ambiance with a stronger emphasis on sourdough bread and pizzas. Sarnies Bangkok tends to be crowded on weekends, consider this alternative, located just 10 minutes away from the original flagship cafe, for the same high-quality food and coffee.
As soon as you enter, you'll be greeted by an array of freshly baked goodies made in-house. Despite its compact size, the establishment exudes a warm and inviting homely charm. The open kitchen concept, showcasing beautiful pastries at the entrance, creates a welcoming atmosphere. Besides sourdough and other baked goods, Sarnies Sourdough is renowned for its flavorful pizzas crafted with fresh ingredients. I vividly recall watching the chef prepare the pizza right in front of me, which was a truly enjoyable experience.
Of course, coffee is a must-try, as the cafe is owned by the same Sarnies group. If you have not tried Dirty coffee, don’t miss out on this delightful cold drink as Sarnies makes one of the best. If you're a fan of pastrami like me, start your day with their simple sourdough toast featuring house-smoked pastrami, homemade mustard, and pickled cucumbers. And if a slice of sourdough isn't enough, take a whole loaf home and explore your culinary creativity at home. You can make avocado toast with fried egg on top. With a great base like Sarnies’s bread, it can’t go wrong. If savory isn't your preference, explore their wide selection of sweet treats. My personal favorites are the Pain au Chocolat and Pistachio Black Currant Danish. See? Coming to this location will not only fill your heart with joy but will also allow you to buy a loaf of joy (sourdough bread) to take home!

9. BARTELS Sathorn
BARTELS Sathorn offers some of the best artisan sourdough sandwiches in Bangkok, and it's easy to see why. They bake their delicious buns fresh daily, guaranteeing that each loaf is never more than three hours out of the oven. Walking into this spot is a dream for any carb lover.
BARTELS offers a wide variety of sandwiches. You can opt for an open sandwich, like the "Tzatziki Salmon" I ordered, which features tzatziki, salmon, boiled egg, avocado, and microgreens on toasted sourdough. If you're wondering what tzatziki is, it's a creamy condiment made primarily from strained yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, and often fresh herbs like dill or mint. It pairs very well with salmon. This dish also features a chili and garlic oil that adds an extra kick and crunch. Overall, this dish has a perfect combination of flavors and textures. Not only does it taste incredibly fresh, but it's also beautifully presented and Instagram-worthy.
For a closed sandwich, I highly recommend the Grilled Cubano, with Dijon mustard, smoked ham, pickled jalapeños, mild cheddar, Parmesan, and mayo for a perfectly golden crust. Honestly, I can't wait to try more varieties next time. For fresh juice lovers, the Strawberry Kiss is a must for an extra boost of vitamin C and freshness. And the coffee? It's equally excellent.
BARTELS has three locations in Bangkok and two in Phuket. I visited the Sathorn branch, so if you're in the neighborhood, be sure to check it out. The other Bangkok locations are in Sukhumvit and Asok. Trust me, this spot is worth a visit. You'll love the beachy, Bali-inspired vibe and casual atmosphere too.
There you have it! Weekends are always a great time to recharge and enjoy many joyful and positive moments after a long week of work. I think the brunch scene in Bangkok is incredibly fun to explore, and having great food to kickstart a weekend will definitely put you in a good mood.
